GIS Capabilities
GIS is an information management tool that has proven to be
highly valuable in the utilities sector of Municipal
Mapping. Using GIS, graphical renderings of current or
future utility infrastructure can be infused with various
auxiliary informational items, such as, digital photographs
or raster images, links to text, database and spreadsheet
files, object attributes and menus. Using GIS is an
outstanding method of creating a singular, easily
manipulated informational entity.
